Example for 3D reconstruction with Open3D on a Nvidia Jetson Nano with Cuda 10.2 and librealsense support. Camera is a Intel Realsense D435i.
There have only about 300 images been captured. So the reconstructed scene suffers from a really poor quality. During the next days I am going to fine tune things and improve the quality significantly.
Of course you can do this with all up-to-date smartphones. But I wouldn’t use an expensive smartphone like an iphone for building experimental hardware.
Very interesting, but the new iphone13 i think, has an AR Sensor which can does that very well.
Afaik only Intel Realsense cameras and Kinect is supported. But you may ask the Intel developers if they have support for that or are implementing that for future releases.
Interesting. Do you think we can use structured light with a DLP projector from TI for the fringes . In place of the intellisense
